The U of P - Free, Online, Good(?)

Just read about the University of the People in a BW article here.

Interesting model:
- Free online business education driven by peer-to-peer interactions
- Managed by a small group of world class(?) administrators and volunteers
- In collaboration with the UN, Yale and Columbia etc
- And planned official accreditation

If the U of P can come up with:

• A business model that doesn't substantially increase entry costs and
  
• A foolproof grading model

then, this (along with the free Universities on iTunes and the MIT/Yale/ Berkeley projects to offer free access to their lectures - check out this list) may be one big step in "globalizing" education on the internet... watch this space.
